| Ok, so you probably know I'm still relatively new to the whole internet thing (this time last year i did not have the internet at home....relied on my college IT centre which was but a hop over my garden wall) and needless to say it has been something of a steep learning curve for me in many respects. Anyway! (and u guys'll probably roll your eyes at this but hey...) Is it possible to forge a lasting relationship with someone using the medium of the internet? Or is it all just too transient and candid for it to work in the long term? Yes, i have a good reason for asking this question! (btw Spy in your case the above question is irrelevant as i worship the ground you walk on ...as well you know Rofl ) |

Of course it's possible. It all comes down if both parties not only do the right thing by each other, but, also trust each other when it comes down to personal and sensitive information (etc).
Hmm, it would be similar to approaching people offline aswell. Treat people online as though they were offline, but, with extra caution.
More time is needed when categorizing an individual online as a 'friend', for obvious reasons.
We all know that people can quite easily burn you online, but, the same also is true for any offline socializing. Humans are humans whether they are online or offline, therefore we should be approaching everyone with caution whether online or not.
Meh.~
I love you too Nevapoo:P |

| Aww, Spy's sensitive side has finally shown itself. Well, not everyone has that kind of 'luck' to meet 'perfect' friends/ soul mates etc. etc. in IRL *in real life*. I've never had any good convos with anyone offline- it's not a surprise I may get myself overwhelmed by this attention I get online- but I've learnt to keep things under control now. I've heard many success stories of people meeting on the Internet- finally met IRL- and hitting it off quite well, if not 'perfectly'. Internet social networking a good thing? Perhaps- if you are smart *and strong?* enough. |
